2nd Annual Noodle Fest Hawaii, Presented by Sun Noodle
Celebrates Noodle Dishes from Around the World
Free festival at Victoria Ward Park highlights Hawaii’s love of noodles
HONOLULU — The public is invited to taste, learn and experience Hawaii’s culinary diversity at the 2nd Annual Noodle Fest Hawaii, presented by Sun Noodle. The free festival takes place at Ward Village at the Victoria Ward Park on Saturday, March 30 from 3–9 p.m.
A lineup of culinary talent, featuring 18 different restaurant booths, will showcase noodle dishes from Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Thailand, Italy and other countries around the world. Other features include a celebrity chef cooking demonstration by Sam Choy, a spicy noodle eating challenge, a Tsurutontan udon speed-eating contest, and live music from local artists.
Central to the Noodle Fest’s celebration is saimin, a unique noodle dish with roots in Hawaii’s plantation history. Saimin brings together flavors and ingredients from many different immigrant cultures — Japanese ramen, Chinese mein and Filipino pancit — which will be highlighted at Noodle Fest Hawaii.

There will also be retail tents featuring various Ward Village merchants and exclusive Noodle Fest Hawaii T-Shirts sold at the VH07V Booth. The Noodle Fest Hawaii’s benefactor is the Hawaii Foodbank. Volunteers from the Hawaii Foodbank will be staffing a tent, taking in both monetary and non-perishable food donations.
We encourage attendees to bring noodle dishes for their donation. Noodle Fest Hawaii is presented by Sun Noodle.
